Taking Care of your Jewellery

Keep me safe and shining

Always store your jewellery pieces individually, preferably in your box or pouch to avoid scratching or tangling. Particular care should be taken with gemstones to ensure that they do not knock against one another when stored.  Your gold vermeil and silver jewellery should be kept in a dark, cool and dry place.

Natural Beauty

no cosmetics needed

Your jewellery is susceptible to damage from the effects of chemicals present in perfume, hairspray, make-up, nail polish remover, body oils, sun screen and deodorant. Apply perfumes and other costmetics before putting on your Adira Jewels. You should take particular care with your gemstone jewellery. Many coloured gemstones, such as amethyst and other quartz stones, are susceptible to discoloration and fading when exposed to sunlight and direct heat, so avoid doing this for excessive periods of time.

Jewellery doesn’t need watering

Make sure to remove before washing/ showering/ swimming/

Gentle cleaning only

The safest way to look after your jewellery and to keep it looking good is by gentle cleaning. With sterling silver and vermeil jewellery, just wipe over with a soft damp cloth. With gemstone jewellery  use warm soapy water (definitely not detergent) and a very soft bristle brush. Do not use ultrasonic or steam cleaners on any vermeil or any gemstone jewellery pieces.
